Teaching
Laura is a passionate believer in quality music education, and loves working with young people to grow their harp skills and find joy in music. She has taught music privately since 2014, and is also the current harp teacher at Toorak College. Previous schools include Genazzano FCJ College and Australian Christian College Casey.
Laura’s first priority is always that her students love to play their instrument! However she can also prepare and support students if they wish to perform at concerts, complete exams or enter competitions.
Laura teaches privately from her home in Croydon. She also regularly travels to the Gippsland region and is available to work while there.

Laura is able to teach from the beginner stage right through to advanced students. She has a "repertoire rich" approach to lessons, so her students play lots of pieces and are never bored! Laura also incorporates the basics of music theory and the development of strong technique into weekly lessons. Kids can begin harp lessons with Laura from age eight; she will occasionally take younger students after an initial consultation. Adults are also welcome to inquire.

Laura can provide a one-off tutoring session or workshop to students already learning the harp (with permission from their regular harp teacher). Situations where this may be beneficial include:
Receiving extra advice and performance practise prior to an exam
Specific training for ensemble/orchestral playing
